Ohio lawmakers convicted of certain corruption charges are still eligible to receive taxpayer-funded retirement benefits. But that would all change if a new bill becomes law in Columbus.
Under House Bill 741, Ohio public officials would be ineligible for retirement benefits if convicted of:
–>Extortion
–>Perjury
–>Racketeering
–>Theft or bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds
–>Interference with commerce by threats or violence in violation of the Hobbs Act
–>Mail, wire and honest services fraud
Taxpayers should never pick up the tab for public corruption. Sign the petition in support of HB 741 below.
